August er her og sommeren nærmer seg endestasjonen, det vil si at ferien snart er over og hverdagen enten kommer sigende langsomt slik at man rekker en slags omstilling, eller så kommer den med et brak fra en bakfull søndag til tidligvakt mandag, i verste fall. Jeg hater å være negativ, men that’s life. Og det er greit, alle kjenner på det i større eller mindre grad. Noen gleder seg til å begynne på jobb og skole, ikke noe som er bedre enn det, men for dere (oss) andre som er litt skeptisk til hva som møter oss – det kommer til å gå fint!
Det som er viktig i denne fasen er at man husker å sette pris på alt det fine man har opplevd i sommer og omgjør det til drivkraften som får oss tilbake i rutine igjen (helst fort som faen). Det går fra rundstykker, avokado og eggerøre, til havregrøt og tran-tabletter, fra å sove til kroppen er uthvilt, til å ville slenge vekkerklokken, som ødelegger en hver morgenstund, i veggen. Fra å ha tid til overs, til ikke å ha nok timer i døgnet. MEN hør da. Rundstykker med egg og avo smaker ikke like godt om man spiser det hver dag, det samme gjelder det å sove bort dagen, eller det å ha for god tid, det blir kjedelig i lengden. Trust me I know, jeg har hatt ferie i mange nok uker til at jeg blir stresset av å ha for god tid nå. Jeg må tilbake på jobb og skole for å få hodet mitt på riktig kjør.
Det som er cluet er å gjøre hverdagen fin nok, så man slipper å gå hver dag å glede seg til neste ferie. Derfor, om morgenstund med kaffe og havremelk er det som gjør dagen din (min), så må du bare legge det inn i planen og stå opp litt tidligere for å rekke det før jobb, for eksempel. Alt er mulig så lenge man prioriterer riktig. Legg inn tid til å lage en god middag etter jobb, gå en tur eller se en serie (bok helst, men det skjer ikke) før du legger deg. Jeg vet ikke, alle er forskjellige, men vi har alle noe vi setter pris på i hverdagen som det er viktig å holde fast ved.
Og når det gjelder trening. Trening er ikke alltid gøy, i noen perioder er det til og med det motsatte. Spesielt etter en periode på latsiden, å plutselig skulle bli helt maniac på treningsfronten er ingen god ide. Men å starte i det små, gjøre det for din egen del, finn det som gir deg overskudd i hverdagen. For min del er det gruppetimer akkurat nå. Og nei man trenger ikke ha verken rytme, kondisjon eller koordinasjon for å prøve seg. Det finnes timer for alle. Jeg kan anbefale 3T-sterkere (for dere som bor i Trondheim) for en enkel og fin styrkeøkt, helt uten hurtighet eller avanserte øvelser. Du gjør alt i ditt eget tempo, med din egen vektstang. Yoga for nybegynnere er også en nydelig start, bare det å komme seg over dørstokkmila, utfordre de sosiale antennene og utvide komfortsonen. Det er trening i det også – mental trening, som er minst like viktig som den fysiske. Det ene er avhengig av det andre for å fungere optimalt.
Man kan se så negativt man bare vil på det at ferien er over, men det hjelper ingen og virkeligheten vil fortsatt være der. Herlighet jeg er ikke bekymret. Det høres ut som jeg gruer meg skikkelig, sannheten er at jeg gjør ikke det, jeg gleder meg til å komme tilbake i rutine, møte studybuddies og nye kolleger, trene og spise godt.
